TDI Line Scan Camera Designated as 'World Class Product'
2025-11-19
— Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources (MOTIR) and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) certify “VT Series” as World Class Product
— Elevated from “Next-Generation World Class Product” after five years
— High-speed, application-specific
inspection models also expanding the lineup

Vieworks, a leading provider of medical and
industrial imaging solutions, announced on the 19th that its hybrid TDI line
scan camera series, ‘VT Series’, has been officially designated a World Class
Product by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources (MOTIR) of Korea.
The VT Series was first certified in 2020
as a Next-Generation World Class Product, and its elevation to the World Class
Product category reaffirms its global competitiveness and is expected to
further accelerate export growth.
The ‘World Class Product’ program, hosted
by MOTIE and managed by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA),
certifies products that rank within the top five globally and hold at least 5%
global market share in markets exceeding USD 50 million. The designation aims
to foster competitive export products.
Designed for flat panel display and
semiconductor inspection systems, the VT Series offers up to 23K resolution and
550,000(550k) lines-per-second high-speed imaging. Its core technology—the
Hybrid TDI Sensor—combines the strengths of CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and CMOS
(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) to deliver high image quality with
fast signal transfer.
TDI (Time-delayed Integration) technology
is a core imaging technology enabling ultra-high-speed and high-resolution inspection
and has become essential in modern machine vision applications.
Vieworks has also introduced
next-generation models, including the VT Sense Series, optimized for low-light
industrial inspection, and a dual-imaging TDI camera capable of capturing
bright-field and dark-field images simultaneously. By integrating lenses,
lighting and sensors, the company aims to strengthen its solution portfolio in
high-value inspection markets such as HBM semiconductors and OLED displays.
A Vieworks spokesperson said, “The World
Class Product designation for our VT Series demonstrates the global recognition
of Vieworks’ industrial imaging technology. We will continue to lead innovation
in the global machine vision market with advanced high-speed and
high-resolution imaging solutions.”
Founded in 1999, Vieworks specializes in
digital X-ray detectors and high-resolution industrial cameras and is now
expanding into the bio-imaging sector with its digital pathology slide scanner
lineup.
