The most powerful driving force that enables Vieworks to become a leading developer and manufacturer of the most customer-satisfactory imaging systems is its core technologies such as optics, mechanics, electronics and software. The strength of Vieworks lies in its capability of all-in-house design and quality control based upon its possession in all these core technologies in house.
Line Scan Sensor
Vieworks Hybrid TDI Line Scan Sensor
TDI, Time Delayed Integration, line scan cameras are used for application which require higher sensitivity. It uses multiple line scan stages up to provide up to 256 times higher sensitivity while a standard line scan camera scans only one time. However, they also have some disadvantages because of the conventional sensor structure's limit. To improve TDI line scanning performance, Vieworks has developed hybrid TDI line scan sensor. The Hybrid TDI sensor with CCD pixel structure implemented by using CMOS technology allows ultra-high-speed image captures with up to 256 times greater sensitivity. It is the first concept of TDI line scan sensor and Vieworks named it VTDI (Vieworks TDI)
Conventional CCD sensor
- Better image quality
- Higher SNR (Signal-to-noise ratio)
- Higher power consumption
- Higher cost
Conventional CMOS sensor
- Faster speed
- Lower power
- Higher noise
Vieworks Hybrid TDI Sensor is...
Combining a light sensitivity CCD-based TDI pixel array with CMOS readout electronics, thus having the best features from CCD and CMOS.

Vieworks High Resolution Area Scan Sensor
The industry requires industrial cameras to have the higher resolution and the higher speed. As to meet such demands, Vieworks introduces the world’s highest resolution area scan machine vision camera.
The World’s Highest Resolution Area Sensor – 155 megapixels
The 155 megapixels sensor is a high resolution CMOS image sensor designed for the most demanding flat panel display inspection application.
It is based on the 4T CMOS Platform and it has an excellent dynamic range and uniformity.
- Ultra high resolution: 155 megapixels
- Super wide FOV: 66.1 mm diagonal
- Rolling shutter
- High speed: 15 fps
- High sensitivity
Pixel Shifting Technology
Pixel shifting technology allows a camera to acquire ultra high resolution beyond the sensor’s physical limitation. With pixel shifting cameras, not only you can use for the applications where extremely high resolution is required but also save the costs from not buying multiple cameras. When choosing pixel shifting cameras, reliability of the system is crucial because the stage where the image sensor is mounted on has to move precisely by ½ or ⅓ of a pixel even after using million times.
Thermoelectric Cooling Technology
Temperature is one of the most important factors of camera performance because the hotter sensor gets, the larger noises you will get.
Therefore having a good heat flow camera structure is important to avoid the detriment of cameras' performance.
Thermoelectric (TEC) cooling technology uses the Peltier effect to lower the temperature, reducing noises on extended exposure times.
Vieworks’ TEC Cooling Camera
Vieworks provides the most powerful cooling cameras by designing special heat dissipation structure from internal components to the housing:
- Maintaining the operating-sensor temperature steadily up to 20 degrees below the ambient temperature
- Remove the moisture occurred from the cold-surface of the Peltier using Vieworks’ signature heating structure.
- Sturdy yet compact camera design
